Raised Beds and Cages
A raised bed is great if you want a smaller garden, or if you just want a separate section in your garden for plants like basil rosemary or cherry tomatoes. Raised beds give you a nice compact garden that is way easier to maintain than a regular garden. They also tend to grow less weeds. With a raised bed, you have complete control over what soil/fertilizer your plant will be growing in. Also you won’t have to deal with picking out rocks or large weeds. Below are some of our favorite raised garden beds and below that are some great plant cages.
Raised Beds
This is a set of what we think are the best raised beds on Amazon. Each Greens Fence raised bed is made of cedar and there are four different size/shape variations. Cedar is naturally rot and pest resistant so your raised bed can last a long time without finishes or chemicals on the wood. The Beds labeled “stackable” can be stacked on top of each other to create a higher garden if needed.

Stilted Planter Beds
These planter beds are great because you don’t have to bend down as far to harvest or tend to your plants. Also these beds could easily fit on a large deck or patio without having to sit on the ground. If you use one of these stilted planter beds you won’t want to plant plants that grow especially deep roots. For these planters, stick to smaller plants like basil.

Plant Cages

These tomato cages are square shaped and very heavy duty. They are made of thick rigid wire that will not bend or flop around. They push into the ground very easily and feel very solid but they are a little pricy. These tomato cages will last a very long time and can easily be used year after year. (Set of 4)

These are the more traditional style tomato cages. They too are pretty sturdy but they aren’t quite as sturdy as the cages above. They will get the job done though, and at a much smaller price. (Set of 10)
