Sprinkler Hoses
A sprinkler hose is the perfect tool to make watering your garden less of a chore. Simply lay the sprinkler hose along the row of plants you wish to water, turn on the water and watch the hose do the rest of the work. You would want this type of hose for automatically watering larger plants that you wanted to sprinkle with water. Or for plants that need a deeper watering, just face the sprinkler holes into the ground and the water will be sprayed directly into the soil.
All of the hoses listed have standard connections found on any standard garden hose so you won’t have to buy any special adapters which would just add to possible leakage spots. Instead just hook the sprinkler hose right up to a standard garden hose, or directly to the faucet. Durability is also less of a factor with sprinkler hoses because unlike multipurpose garden hoses, you won’t be moving them around as much.
Flexon Three Tube Sprinkler Hose
The Flexon has three attached aligned tubes with sprinkler holes spread evenly apart. The more flat design makes this hose easy to set up and direct where you want the water to be distributed. This hose works well for gardens and would work good to water a grass pathway as well.
Length: 50 feet
Apex Sprinkler Hose
The Sprinkler Hose from Apex is a standard shaped sprinkler hose. It has one tube but that tube is flattened out, so as to make controlling the direction of the spray easier. This is the most durable hose we have listed and it is also relatively flexible.
Length: 25 or 50 feet

Andrews Two Tube Sprinkler Hose
The two tube design of this hose will ensure that it will not tip over or move around when spraying water. This hose is the least expensive per foot out of the three listed. It is very flexible and can be stored very easily. This hose is not the highest of quality but it is 100 feet long and will get the job done.
Length: 100 feet
Soaker Hoses
A soaker hose is very similar to a sprinkler hose. The difference between the two is that a soaker hose lets water soak through the material of the hose. As opposed to a sprinkler hose which sprays water only out of the holes. A soaker hose is better for watering small plants that are close together and do not need the water to reach deep into the soil. This is because soaker hoses let water out all the way along the hose where as sprinkler hoses only let water out through their holes. Soaker hoses also aren’t able to forcefully spray water into the ground and get it deep into the soil like sprinkler hoses are. Durability is also less of a factor with soaker hoses because unlike multipurpose garden hoses you won’t be moving them around as much. Once you setup your soaker hose you may want to cover it with dirt or mulch to maximize the amount of water that stays in the ground.
Miracle Gro Soaker Hose Kit with EZ Connect Fittings
This is a very convenient product from Miracle Gro. This hose comes with many fittings that make the kit totally customizable. All you have to do is cut the hose into sections of the correct length and slide the fittings on. Then you can simply hook up your watering system to any other hose or faucet.
Length: 50 feet
Melnor Flat Soaker Hose
This hose goes back to just the basics, it comes with no custom fittings but it will hook right up to any other standard hose or faucet. This hose is made of a very thin material, which is not ideal for durability as we said before durability isn’t as much of an issue in soaker hoses. The thin material makes the hose very easy to bend and easy for storage in small spaces.
