Power Tillers

A power tiller can be a very relieving tool especially if you have a large garden. Power tillers can make tilling the soil very easy while preparing your garden for a fresh batch of plants. They romove the need for a lot of weeding at the begining of a plant. In some cases you can use a tiller to dig a hole for your plant and skip the shovel all together. There are two types of tillers on this page, gas and electric.

We recomend that if you have a large garden or need to do a lot of heavy tilling that you get a gas powered tiller. A gas tiller will be able to provide much more power to churn the soil and uproot any large roots. If you have a smaller gerden, or a bed garden, or just don’t need the extra power, we recomend that you get an electric tiller. An electric tiller will not provide the as much power but it may not be necessary for your garden. Electric tillers also tend to be lighter, cheaper, smaller, and easier to maintain.

BLACK+DECKER Lithium Ion Cordless Garden Tiller

This tiller from BLACK+DECKER is cordless it works with one of BLACK+DECKER’s standard 20 volt Li batteries. Not having a cord is a very nice feature because it lets you take the tiller anywhere you like no matter how far away from an outlet. Also not having a cord attached means that you won’t be getting tangled up all the time or be crushing or breaking plants with the cord. This tiller comes with rotating blades unlike any others on this page. The blades rotate on a vertical axis instead of a horizontal axis. They till up the soil just as well and dig good planting holes, but they’re not quite as good at ripping out weeds.
